Our Story

Phoenix Modular Innovations (PMI), is a privately owned international turnkey remote installation company with a deep-rooted passion for delivering superior service.

At Phoenix, the owners and principles have a combined experience of over 65 years within conventional construction, modular camp planning, design, procurement, transportation and installation.

Our services include camp, office and classroom installation, setup and demobilization, and maintenance.  Phoenix Modular Innovations has been operating since 1997.  Our staff includes machine operators, carpenters, plumbers, safety personnel (National Construction Safety Officers) and project managers.  Our Red Seal Certified tradesmen come with a well equipped and organized tool inventory and our safety record meets and exceeds industry standard.

We aim to be a positive force for good in the communities in which we operate, and to care about the environments where we work. We never compromise on quality and service delivery, whether we are building a modular classroom for a first nations community in BC or an 800-person camp in Northern Alberta.  Our dedication to our clients and staff with a firm focus on integrity, leadership, and professionalism has enabled us to launch this exciting and progressive company…to rise above!

Following in the footsteps of his father (John Brechin),  Scott has spent his entire working life in the Modular Construction industry.  With over 30 years of experience installing thousands of modular units across Western Canada, Scott is authentic and has earned the respect of the many organizations and people he has passionately served over the years.

A graduate of BCIT and a carpenter by trade, Scott is driven by a commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and  providing his clients with “Best in Class” service.  He is always looking at innovative ways to offer a superior product delivery and service to customers of PMI.

Nicholas Michalezki

Nicholas Michalezki

Director of Operations

Nicholas brings his passion for continuous growth and values for life to our business. He is experienced in delivering capital projects for Modular Manufacturing as well as executing Fleet Management and Contract administration.

With a background in International Trade, Lean Project Management & Six Sigma he is skilled in resourcing and planning capital projects, managing client relationships, delivering cost effect process improvement, maintaining inventory control systems and procedures and managing procurement process.

Vice President

Garry brings decades of experience successfully directing teams across a wide spectrum of industries, including two decades in the Modular Building industry.  His passion is in developing innovative strategies, building dynamic teams, and delivering exceptional customer service. He is respected as a progressive, results-oriented professional, skilled in identifying root causes, generating creative solutions, creating transparent communication channels, and building trust.

He is an avid runner who enjoys pushing himself and others to challenge the status quo and themselves; to not settle for being average.  If “better” is possible, then “good” is not enough…

Sanaa Eslim

Sanaa Eslim

Jr. Estimator / Project Coordinator

Sanaa is an industry expert in Structural Engineering. She has 10+ years of experience in construction design and supervision in a fast-paced work environment.  She brings excellent civil engineering skills, with a decisive knowledge of construction specifications, costs, and material estimates. She ensures smooth business operations by following projects from conceptualizing phase to completion, including incorporation of customer needs and technical support.

Sanaa holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Damascus University, and diploma in civil engineering technology from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).

Sales and Business Development Manager

After a successful career in the competitive CPG industry, Jeremy transitioned into the Modular Construction sector in 2019, quickly developing strong business relationships. His passion to establish exceptional client care remains front of mind in any business development interaction. His focus to provide a cost-effective and quality-driven solution to any modular need in a timely fashion remains the ultimate goal.
